Okay, I saw this film years a go on TV and only saw the end, but would love to see the rest of the film. I only recall some of the details of film, but hopefully someone will know what it is.

The film was possibly filmed in the early '70s (?). The setting is very bleak.

From what I remember the film centers around a boy, possibly living in Nothern England or Scotland. The film ends with shots of the boy playing by himself around some waste sites, around skips and stuff, with very little/no dialoge.

At the very end of the film he jumps into a river, the last shot being under water with him dissapearing.

    Thanks for any help

I'd agree that this sounds like RATCATCHER - made in the late 90s but set in Glasgow during the early 1970s.
