Some years ago I came home from a long haul flight and, heavily jet lagged, I fell in and out of consciousness in front of the telly one afternoon.

I saw (or dreamt I saw) a war time film where a four military officers arrived at a London railway terminus to travel down to a secret base somewhere in the country. They had never met before and as they discussed their war stories they realised they had all been involved in a near fatal event in the last few days.

To cut a long story short, some time later they are standing outside in the sunshine when one of them points out to the others, with horror, that none of them has a shadow!

Does such a film exist or was I dreaming it?

It sounds like it should exist, a war version of the Amicus portmanteau films; but I can't think of a film that fits the description.
