    Hi,

I'm looking for a copy of 'Good Health: Talking Feet'.

This programme was broadcast for ITV Schools in the '70's and repeated throughout the '80's.

Hopefully there's a copy out there somewhere....

I'm trying to track down the ITV (ATV) Schools programme - 'Good Health - Talking Feet'. It was repeated many times from its first transmission, way back in the mid '70's. Please help !

    Cheers

Picture Box is the first programme that always comes to mind. Alan Rothwell was a wonderful presenter. Also known as Ken Barlow's brother of course.

Bare with me, but was he seen on one of those 'bakers' bikes with the smaller front wheel and basket at the front in Coronation street and also wearing a white apron? I'm sure I'm not losing it but that vision sticks in my head, it's so long ago!

I don't remember him being a baker but the best clue I can give you is that David Barlow, Alan's character, was having his bike fixed by dad Frank in the very first episode. In addition to that, he later had the corner shop with wife Irma (Stan & Hilda Ogden's daughter), so it's logical that would have been the next step.

The shop, incidentally, is where my user-name comes from - housed at 15 Coronation Street.

I remember ITV making a series for Schools, showed first 5 parts, then part 5 again, didn't show last part. Few years later did the same thing again. I remember one called The Multi Coloured Rainbow Disco Dancer haha.

I recall one 'made for Schools' programme from around '73 I guess about poverty in Britain today that left it's mark on me, it's Summer and we're inside the shabby home of a stressed single mother with 4 or 5 kids sitting round the table at Breakfast, the kids can't get any Marmalade out of the jar for their Toast, Mum tries scraping the contents of the jar out and I recall her saying "err....it's all stuck up"
