Hi Can anyone remember Juliet Bravo .

Did anyone ever record it when it was on telly I'm looking for series 6 if anyone has got the recordings from it.

I have got the box sets 1-5 .

They were going to relise series 6 a while back but it never happened does anyone know the reason to this . Don't you just hate it when you start collecting something and then bang they stop.

    Hope someone can help me

None of the online retailers I looked at give an explanaton for the delay.

    Amazon.co.uk: Juliet Bravo - Series 6 [1985]: DVD: Anna Carteret,John Challis,Paul Chapman,Sally Whittaker

Might it have something to do with the demise of DDHE. The dvd of Gumshoe is showing the same message.

Believe it or not, the series releases on DVD were rather poor sellers, and the Beeb (through 2|entertain) pulled the plug on the Sixth Series.

They did that for series 2 of Hazell and I believe the next series of Public Eye is unlikely to get an airing. It is very frustrating.

Me too ..... I read in a DVD mag a while ago that 'cos sales for the first two releases were 'slow' they had put the release of the next set 'on hold'. It's a real pain in the 'arris!

At least I managed to get hold of an, erm, 'unofficial' set of Hazell series 2. It's not brilliant but better than nowt.

Network released both series of Budgie individually and then as a 'complete series' set. The sales for those must have been pretty good!

I bought both series individually. It is a great series with some fantastic performances from all the cast.

Another Network set to look out for is Big Breadwinner Hog/Spindoe. Two more great series in one set! I am halfway through Hog at the moment, superb stuff.

    Not quite.

The release of Hazell (Series Two) was posponed owing to unforseen 'rights issues', that have yet to be overcome. The DVD boxsets were actually produced, and have been sitting in a warehouse awaiting events ever since. No one was more annoyed than Network, as it's 'dead money' for them!

Public Eye was indeed a poor seller. Keep an eye on Network's website though, as they haven't entirely ruled out further releases. Bear in mind if more do appear, they're likely to be Network web-exclusives.

Cheers Modular, the Hazell info is interesting. Do you know why the rights were different between series 1 and series 2?

Hi Modular re Public Eye I don't care how they appear as long as they are brought out, I am surprised that marker did not sell well as its such an excellent program and still very watchable and it has not really dated IMHO perhaps younger people don't realize its worth.
