Hi, another Movie I haven't seen for a very long time is a colour 'War' one, I can't recall any of the 'Stars', but there's scenes involving clearing a Ghetto (Warsaw Ghetto?) and Flamethrowers are used to clear derelict buildings where people are hiding, other people are being 'marched off', a line of people walking to their fate is split in two and an old woman yells after her husband after he is split from her, 'Samsed' sounded like the name she was calling.

I remember the line 'release the boy.....shoot the father' spoken by a Nazi......any ideas as to the title of this Movie?

The dialogue is right but not the action...

There are no flamethrowers, no line of people...

Robert Shaw is lounging against a church when a sniper fires at him.

the sniper turns out to be a boy. His father pleads for his life...

Another question, Donald Pickering is supposed to be in there somewhere, but I couldn't spot him...

Thanks for the info everyone, it's ascertained that "release the boy, shoot the father" is from 'Bulge', but am I thinking of another War movie where there's Flamethrowing at buildings, people being marched to their fate (and a line split in two, I distinctly remember the old woman yelling her husbands name) and there's also a scene with a line of people with their hands up against a brick wall, facing it, and one young boy turns round to see what 'Hell' is happening behind him..........was that not from 'Bulge'?

As Mark Windley says Night of the Generals has a similar scene to the one you describe with flamethrowers et al. That has Peter O'Toole as a Nazi general clearing the Warsaw ghetto.

Okay!........to finally put my mind at rest I've just ordered 'Generals', and 'Bulge' (long version) from Play.com, good value too, 3.99, and 5.00 respectively.......wow!, can these DVD's get any cheaper!.........(I'm certainly not complaining!)
