Watched this at the cinema last night and the house was nearly full.

This film heads the current box-office takings league in Australia and I can fully understand why.

This is one of the funniest Brit films I've seen in some time. Many in the audience were nearly crying with laughter and I wasn't far behind them.

Some hilarious scenes. The one featuring Uncle Alfie in the bathroom is a screamer!

No major stars are featured but many familiar faces such as Jane Asher, Rupert Graves, Kris Marshall, Keeley Hawes and Peter Vaughan are seen. All the actors play their parts superbly.

if you really want a good laugh then do not miss this film.

    Dave.

    Dave.
I must say the trailer for the film wouldn't inspire me to go and see it and it has had a bit of a mauling by some critics (what do they know!) so interesting to hear that you enjoyed it along with the rest of the audience, I will heed your recommendation and see for myself! cheers.

I always think critics don't view a movie in the same way ordinary folk do. I just had a quick look at IMDB and the first page of reviews is all high ratings.

Has there ever been a thread about movies panned by the critics but liked by others?

The original Casino Royale was slated but seems popular.
