Hmmmmm - I don't suppose you're thinking of The Changes? Children's TV series - humans turn against machinery in a weird, Luddite-ish revolt. Had a group - Sikhs I believe - who were living on an old farm and who were persecuted by local villagers. Interesting series.

The Changes was shown on BBC and well before Channel 4 came along, so I think it is probably something else.

Hi, no its not The Changes, I have that. This was shown on Channel 4 around 86 or 87, the Sikhs owned a business and were pestered for protection money.I am pretty sure was set in London and they hid in a disused Railway Station house.D
