This one's been haunting me for years: A 70s kids' drama (ITV I think) - probably a series - set in a post-industrial- civilisation's-broken-down kinda future. There's a group who have got a steam train up and running but there's resistance from others. I remember a scene where they arrive in a little station out in the dales somewhere and they're mobbed by a bunch of screaming luddites.

I think there were scenes of deliberate industrial sabotage in the titles.

Now, I thought this was The Changes - until I got to see that series recently and there isn't a steam train in it!

It isn't me mis-remembering The Survivors either because I've just watched all three series and there are no scenes of trains being attacked (although there are trains).

    Can anybody elucidate?

Can anybody tell me how to move it? Or is it stuck here now?

    Sorry.

Is this the film where they go into the little train station's left-luggage office and find a fossilised baby in a carpet bag?

Ta. I think I might be conflating The Changes, The Flockton Flyer and the third season episode of Survivors with the train in it.
