    Whatever happened to the man who played the burns victim,Tom Evans,in the Battle Of Britain. He was on television a few years ago,along with other real life burns victims,but I've tried searching for him on the IMDB,and there is info about him.

    His name was/is WG Foxley. I have tried searching for more info but no luck so far.

    I believe the "W" was for William - it looks like there might a couple of references to "Bill Foxley" on the 'net - incl a photo whilst under treatment (he's the one standing)

    As well as McIndoe and his team of surgeons, don't forget those nurses. They did an amazing job as well.



    They were often quite pretty, upper class "gels". Chosen partly for their looks to give the patients something to live for. Some of them took one look at the patients and ran out, screaming. But those that stayed did a brilliant job in dealing with a lot of the psychological problems experienced by the patients. Slowly making them realize that they could have a normal life after having most of their face burnt away.
