Ewood Bridge isn't fictional, it does exist!
Can anybody remember the name of the BBC drama TV series from the eighties or nineties which was set in the "fictional" Lancashire town of Ewood Bridge. I can't remember much more about it but it was set in the same time period as it was shown.

Ah yes but Woodbridge was fictional in Harry Worth shows but still exists

Yes that is why I put it in speech marks as although the real place is small and near Rawtenstall, the town featured in the drama is bigger and therefore presumably not real. A bit like the town of Ackersley in the Hetty Wainthrop series as although I am a Lancastrian by birth I have never heard of a real town called Ackersley in Lancashire.
Ackersley was in the main my home town of Darwen in Lancashire, although many other locations around North East Lancs were used in Hetty Wainthrop.
Ewood is an area of Blackburn, so maybe Ewood Bridge was Blackburn? I know parts of Debbie Horsfield's wonderful The Riff Raff Element was shot in Blackburn as was Jack Rosenthal's Eskimo Day.
