i am looking for the sherlock holmes documentary shown on bbc2 in december 1987 celebrating the centenary of sherlock holmes.

Haven't got it but remember that Tim Piggot-Smith presented it - his name might help job a memory and lead to a discovery

It was called "The Case of Sherlock Holmes" and was an extended 70 minutes version of the 40 minutes documentary series. It was one of the worst Sherlock Holmes documentaries i've seen just 70 minutes of rather inane trivia it featured a British Asian boy who was obsessed with the stories and other assorted weirdo's who give the sane Sherlock Holmes fan a bad name.The only highpoint in my opinion was a short animated sequence at the beginning featuring the Paget drawings.
