Its a rip-off of The Quatermass Experiment but watchable.

I saw this movie in the theater when I was 9 years old and I remember it scaring the crap out of me! Yes, by today's standards, the special effects are a bit "modelish" but the pilot/monster dragging around the countryside with that one eye poking out.....I KNEW he was going to pop out of my closet some dark night! Pretty good story when you boil it down and allow for the budget and time it was made.
