Just watched this movie. Pretty far-fetched, but entertaining as far as it goes.
Someone on IMDB said they saw a version with a title card that looked like a rather awkward insert. The version I watched (on the Optimum R2 Bogarde set) had the title as a transparency, over the street scene, as with all the others.
Just wondered if anyone knew of another version. It may have just been a foreign version, perhaps with the name of the distributor inserted underneath or something.

Barbara...and a cheery wave to all friends here at BritMovie!
theuofc, I was referring solely to the titles with the awkward insert. Bats was probably right that it was just an edited-down version for TV.
Yes, I have the region 1 DVD issued by Alpha Home Entertainment and although most of the titles are superimposed over the street scene the actual title is an inserted card which says "Astor Pictures presents The Sleeping Tiger". Picture quality is poor and I can't say I was impressed by the film, which is awkwardly edited in places. Dirk Bogarde doesn't have the manner or appearance of a petty criminal and his sudden conversion at the end is totally implausible.Originally Posted by Dave Rattigan
