    Hi all,

    I missed recording these two episodes last night.

    I have very fond memories of watching it with my late mother - and would really appreciate it if one of you could provide me with a recording.

    I have tons to trade and can provide an imdb link to my archive.

    Sincerely,

    Norma

    name='CaptainWaggett']It's available from Amazon

    Naturally, I have explored this route. Unfortunately this is only available in NTSC. I was hoping that someone else might have recorded the programmes last night. Thank you for trying to help.

    I'm confused. The 2Entertain dvd is Region 2 Pal. Where does it say NTSC? I've actually seen it for sale in the (now closed) BBC shop which certainly wouldn't be the case if it were Region 1.

    Do not be confused as it is indeed Region 2,maybe Norma is the one who is confused.

    That Amazon link shows it as being in PAL and being region 2

    What sort of Jane Austen adaptation is it without any wet shirts clinging to a manly torso? No adaptation at all in my book.

    I agree 100% Julian

    Some people complain about its being 'studio bound'; but that was the nature of most TV costume drama then. There might be more 'bells and whistles' now - but the cast of Emma (1972) were perfect - and it wasn't about being a 'hunk' with damp drawers - it was about excellent ensemble acting.

    Incidentally - after being let down by a couple of Amazon sellers I finally managed to get a ( legitimate) copy of Emma.
