It's always puzzled me that, despite an ever increasing commercial issue of old films, Peggy Mount's arguably best film Sailor Beware has never been released on DVD or, for that matter, VHS.
Most of us have got round that, as it has been oft repeated on the telly but, coincidentally, the Marjorie Rhodes version "Watch it Sailor" hasn't shown an appearance either!

Peggy Mount was the first TV star I saw in person as she lived near a friend of mine in Southend.
Peggy Mount in THE NAKED TRUTH is brilliant.
Enough said!

Always played real battleaxe women don,t you feel sorry for poor little esma cannon .she was great friends with sadly missed pat combes.i saw her on a chat show and almost expecting her to start balling and shouting but she was actually a sweet lady
I took my daughter to see the pantomime Cinderella in the late 1980s, Peggy was the Fairy Godmother, Bernard Bresslaw was one of the Ugly Sisters and Michael Barrymore was Buttons!![]()
My uncle, never a star-struck person at the best of times, actually went up to Peggy Mount in the foyer at Birmingham Rep in the late seventies and asked for an autograph. I was annoyed that I missed seeing her, but I was onstage at the time...
