I, and I suppose many others would like to know how you came up with your sign off message and where it came from, at the end of your message for a particular subject within the forum.

Mine, "Hooked off the line", comes from the opening season of The Big Match, when Mike Keen of Queens Park Rangers cleared the ball off the line. Mike visited my house some fourty plus years ago and to this day, I have always been a fan of his and the old QPR lads and can still hear the legendary Brian Moore shouting "Hooked off the line" on the opening sequence of The Big Match. Great Days.

I used to use a line from The Dark Man .... but these days I use some priceless gems uttered by The Boy Wonder, who's my son for those who didn't know.

At risk of sounding really dense how do you do a signing off message - presumably you need to format and save it but I couldn't find any instructions. Cheers :-)

You have to go to User CP and the Edit Signature section.

This thread could get a bit surreal when folks change their message !

And isn't half the fun trying to work out where the lines come from ?

Mine are from a British movie with a stalwart cast adapted from a French book. Can anybody name the film and the actors who say the lines ?

I'm not sure if, when you change you signature, it changes it on all previous messages. I know it does for the avatars so any references to avatars make no sense after they've been changed

It does change on all your messages, just like the avatars.

Bats, I've just put a signature on my profile and it's not showing up at all on any of my previous messages.
