The Moody Blues covers were so deliriously over-the-top. I didn't get into rock music until a bit later but I used to stare at the Moody covers at the shops wondering what the heck this stuff was. In Search of a Lost Chord in particular.

Have enjoyed seeing all the old album covers from those old bands on here (I got many of those albums myself.....been collecting since 1971......

I love Fairport Convention (among many others) and saw them once in 1977 in Plymouth, backed by Bert Jansch (Pentangle)

I would give anything to have seen them with Sandy circa 68/69......

    ...

Ever made it to Cropredy ???

I would say the one on the right has more of a mans shape face, the bone structure looks more masculine

You must start an album Amethyst, you obviously have hidden talents

No I've never been Penfold, but as they say..."I know a man who has"

I,ve never been to Glastonbury/Reading/Cambridge festivals either

I used to suffer with "panic attacks" linked to claustraphobia, which meant I couldn't cope with crowds (it even got to the point where I couldn't go to the cinema for over 10 years)

Pathetic I know......but there we are..............Happy to say I'm much better now

and can now cope better with it, but I still have to sit on end row nearest the exit so I can "escape" if i need to..............

    Cheers

I recall reading an article once about the girls on the Roxy Music album covers, with this one they're both German (female) models, German singer Amanda Lear was once rumored to be a 'Man' once, she's in one of those 1970's short profile films of a English Racing driver (can't recall his name) which used to be shown at Cinemas where she's seen singing at London's Embassy club......

Moody Blues - On The Threshold of a Dream or In Search of the Lost Chord (Superb albums too)

Tangerine Dream - Ricochet or any of a dozen others.

Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds

Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination - the gatefold vinyl sleeve was excellent.

    The Beatles - Yellow Submarine

For pure simplicity - Pink Floyds The Wall and the probably the most discussed cover ever, Abbey Road.
