My winter gas bill is funnier.
Don't laugh, but does anyone have this 1965 film starring Freddie & The Dreamers, Kenneth Connor, John Le Mesurier & Arthur Mullard?
allmovie ((( Cuckoo Patrol > Overview )))
Thanks!
LOL - I know, I found this out when I bought this dumb film last year.
lol I'm glad I'm not alone then.
Even if it's crap, I still have to see it now!! I am a huge fan of 60s beat groups, and was not hitherto aware of this little gem- if such a description can be used.
As a registered depressive and Aspergers sufferer, I do that often anyway. But surely it can't be THAT bad?
Hi guys - I was going to get this movie as I'm trawling through all the MGM British Studios films of the 60s looking for use of their standing backlot sets. Can anyone who has watched this let me know if the backlot is used in this film.
See this thread: http://filmdope.com/forums/fi...cations-3.html
Thanks
Does anyone know any of the filming locations for this? Only, the opening scene (exterior shots) look, to me, remarkably like residential areas of Blackpool (and I note Freddy & The Dreamers did a summer season there in 1965)? Thanks
Yes, a lot of this was shot in Blackpool (there is a certain something about the Lytham/St. Annes/Blackpool architecture that is very distinctive)
The railway station is back at MGM, Hadley Wood.
I've yet to nail the field used in the camping scene - looks like MGM backlot, but this is by no means confirmed.
I posted up some 'spots' on the MGM-British Facebook page.
