I remember a film featuring, probably, Romans who had their camp flooded near the end and all drowned. Probably 30 years since I've seen it and have never come across it since.

Ancient Romans? Or Greeks? Sure it wasn't about Atlantis?

There's a scene like that in an old film about Pompeii, but I can't remember which one. If it was an Italian 'sword and sandal' film they probably re-used the footage in umpteen films.

Bats, I think you may be thinking about the Steve Reeves classic " The Last Day's of Pompeii " ?

Yes, I should have said Ancient Romans.

It was'nt an Atlantis story. Most were on horseback I think if thats any help and it may have been a burst dam but not sure on that.

    Thanks all.
