does anyone recall a tv series about the ambitions and progress of a would be politician who whilst working class had ambitions to become a Tory MP. If I recall correctly upset a few people to achieve his political aims. I seem to recall a garden party and a favourite expression (was it his Dad) at mealtimes - 'very tasty mother'.

    Thanks

Paradise Postponed - fantastic series based on an excellent novel by John Mortimer (the sequels aren't quite so good, IMO). Leslie Titmuss (played by David Threlfall) was a thinly disguised Norman Tebbit. Set around Henley on Thames.

It was the last role take by the fabulous Jacqueline Hill (who, not entirely coincidentally, was married to the director)

I have been watching Paradise Postponed for the last few evenings, characters are brilliantly portrayed. Just realised there was a sequel ( I know it was mentioned here), Titmuss Regained. Can't seem to track it down on DVD, can anyone help. please?

    Thanks in advance.
