I believe that St. Paul's Church in Covent Garden is also known as the Actors Church.

I have not had the pleasure to visit this church but I'm sure many of the members on this forum have.

I believe that many Memorial Services dedicated to deceased actors have been held there and that there are remembrance plaques to many famous actors lining the church walls.

I do not know whether any famous actors are actually buried there but it seems wonderful to have a church dedicated to the acting profession.

Has anyone here visited this church?

    Dave.

I have and it's a wonderful little place!

It's a sweet little church covered from top to toe in plaques, tucked away in Covent Garden.

    Absolutely delightful!

Yes it is, and yes I have

I agree with the Lady, it's a lovely little place.

See their web site. There are some photos of the interior which show a few of the many, many plaques inside.

There are a few graves outside but the site isn't very big so there's not room for many. Most people are buried at their home church and have a memorial service at St Paul's

It features in a scene in Venus with Peter O'Toole and Leslie Phillips.

I went there to attend a funeral of a well known actress and was struck by the delivery of the priest - a good notch or two above the average vicar. I wonder if they're selected for their speaking ability. It would make sense.

It's a lovely church. A good place for a funeral.
