The Jag is on that slip road that travels from what was Bowater House to the roundabout in front of the Hilton. It's just approaching the roundabout where they have new gates now that I think are dedicated to the Queen Mother.

I've looked it up...it's called South Carriage Drive.

I'd love to know what software Mariocki uses to create those AMAZING screen grabs
you certainly know your places swinginglondon!.......here's some pics of the vicinity, the gates commerate the Queen Mum's 93rd Birthday.......

This rather revealing monument to the Duke of Wellington is adjacent to the gates.......(Reminds me of the Jocks in Little Britain USA somehow!)

Thanks SL, so that would be Knightsbridge SW1 filmed from Sth Carriage Drive? I'm using VLC Media Player by the way.

Unknown 12, seen just after a shot from Delamere Terrace and Lord Hills Road:

Looks like there's a distinctive street lamp in the distance.

No, the car is on Sth Carriage Drive...the camera would have been on the edge of the park. If you look at Mark O's second picture...roughly in front of the large tree on the right and the car would have been heading towards us, as it were.

My VLC player doesn't create such amazing photos. Maybe I should reset it. (I'm ticked off with technology today).

They’re going back up Cambridge Gardens and back into Maxilla Gardens. Compare the parked cars and the shed on the pavement in Maxilla Gardens with the original shot.

    OK, here goes:-

    13. He's at the junction of Talbot Rd & Kensington Pk Rd. Those houses are on Kensington Pk Rd, between Talbot Rd & Westbourne Pk Rd (I'd like one of them for Christmas, please).

14.Ladbroke Grove & roughly Blenheim Crescent (1st one) & the rest are all Ladbroke Grove, can't tell the junctions...he's travelling North....down hill.

Bit of a guess on no 14 but have a look at Ladbroke Grove turning right into Lansdowne Crescent.

Can't seem to match it up with those junctions, any other ideas? It looks like the junction is traffic light controlled and there appear to be two gaps in the terraced housing visible on the far side of the junction (by the parked cars), suggesting a couple of junctions. Some more shots:

The middle grab still looks like Ladbroke Gardens. I don't think it's a gap in the terrace - just the two circular columns two thirds of the way down.

    They're not.

I use that road on many occasions, I've never seen houses like that? The stretch of road you've described has commercial properties down the East side, and an ugly residential block on the West side.

Yes, sorry, got it wrong. The other poster was right. It's Blenheim from Loudoun Road...it's ridiculous I got it wrong. I lived on Loudoun Road for the first 13 years of my life! Anyway, my apologies for my terrible, terrible mistake.

Paul & Kate Clifton emerge from Victoria Station where she catches a taxi:

...while he walks up Terminus Place SW1 and buys a newspaper:

before crossing Buckingham Palace Road towards Grosvenor Gardens:

Inspector Langdon arrives for a briefing and parks his car in Derby Gate SW1:

Any ideas where this stretch of road is, as Clifton drives to his meeting at the airport with the rest of the gang?

Its the M4 westbound, heading away from the airport and approaching junction 5. In the Livemaps aerial view the flats in the distance are half of a set of four around Common Road/Longwood Avenue but in the birds eye view they are the only two remaining.

    Thanks again Alan.

The gang meet to discuss their plans for the next raid on top of the car park adjacent to Heathrow Terminal 2:

( No. 1 Building Europa & No. 2 Brittanic combined to become Terminal 2 on 01/04/68)

The 'police station' used for the identification parade?
