Lets be honest. This is a great, tight British B-Movie. The story is simple. Grand National Trainer Nigel Patrick has a boorish wife (Moira Shearer) who provokes him to murder...or does she?

The story is about twists and turns and the way a dogged Police Inspector (Michael Horden) puts together the clues and gets his man. But there's a twist...

Not the greatest, but one I recorded off the late lamented Carlton Cinema Channel and have now transferred to DVD. It stars Nigel Patrick who with Terrence Alexander, ranks high on my 'should be up there with John Mills' scoreboard. Time for a Nigel P. box set I say.

BTW- It was made at Nettlefold Studios in 1955 but is not on the Britmovie list.

Trivia- Nice shots of a Grand National at Aintree and upper middle class club life in the city at the time.
