'man of the woods'

A friend of mine mentioned something about a one off drama or something as part of a series he saw during the 1970's. The only thing about it he remembers was the title 'The Man of the Woods', it was on ITV and the conitunity picture was of a pub sign with a Green Man type face and the title. Anyone have any ideas about what this could be?

That sounds like a spooky thing that was on a few years ago with Albert Finney, I think it was called The Green Man.But it was on in the '90's I think
