Was it my imagination or was David Hedison of Voyage To The Bottom of The Sea alwyas turning up in plays and series made by Anglia in the seventies. Was he resident here during this period or was thisthe result of some partnership deal with an American company. Of course Orson Welles Great Mysteries were also made by Anglia in roughly the same period.
I don't recall David Hedison in any British TV productions. He was over here to make North Sea Hijack but seems to have spent most of the 70s on US TV. Tales of the Unexpected featured a few US stars and I was lucky enough to meet Telly Savalas when he made one in the late 70s.

My memory is a bit foggy about this so maybe I was thinking of the American actors in Tales of the Unexpected.

Have Anglia tv abandoned drama in their Norwich studios?
The last Anglia produced series I recall was one of the Adam Dalgleish adaptations...All they seem to make for the Network nowadays is the awful Tricia Goddard talkfest......

There doesn't seem to be any drama coming out of Anglia these days. They produce local news programmes and the odd programme like East Coast Cooking or similar.
The Tricia programme is not actually produced at the Anglia House studios, they have another studio across the city where that is filmed and it seems to be exclusively for that these days. The Wright Stuff was originally made there as well.
There are still drama programme made at Anglia House but I believe the studios are 'for hire' and that the programmes are made by independent producers. The Chief and the Amanda Burton series Trial by Fire were the last things of note I can recall being made there.
The halcyon days of the PD James series, Tales of the Unexpected and excellent single dramas appear to be long gone.
This one is a good example of the plays they used to produce ....
