Hello, this is my first post (and thread).

Please can anyone help me find the name of a film shown on channel 4 a few years ago - the film is set at the British seaside and has a male Scottish actor as lead. Also, there was dwarfs/midgets in it. The whole film had a quirky feel to it with zany choreographed sequences. It was one of those independent British film types.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have been trying to find this film for ages.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,

Thanks for the reply. I did a search and don't think 'circus' is the name of the film. The one you mentioned is a crime thriller I believe.

The film I am thinking of may be a short film (not certain) but doesn't hav 'famous' actors in it. Like I said it was set at a British seaside and was offbeat, quirky and had a quaint feel to it. Also the Scottish guy in it wasn't really famous and had midgets in it.

    Thanks for the help.

It's neither a film or from Channel 4 but it sounds like the BBC's Funland to me - probably way off the mark but worth a try.

My guess is The Fruit Machine with Robbie Coltrane.

    Hey,

Thanks everyone for the reply's. I've checked out all the suggestions but none of them are the film.

The film I am talking about is only a few years old and it has a highly stylized feel to it. It is quite offbeat and 'artsy'. None of the actors in it are really famous. This is really bugging me as I can picture it in my head but can't find the name of the film anywhere.

As I said before it might be a short film but it wasn't a film in the traditional sense.

    Thanks for the input!
