This rings a bell with me and I am wondering if it is the series The Battle of St George Without where the kids play on a bomb site near a derelict church and are threatened by another group of kids
Can anyone put a title to a children's drama series - early 70s I think.
A group of youngster built a sort of red indian village on a piece of waste ground from old rubbish etc. That's all I remember except that it had a strange sort of name.

No it wasn't "The battle of St. George Without" although that one was around at roughly the same time. As I said the kids built a sort of village from rubbish and scrap materials and there was some sort of confrontation with the local council who wanted to replace it with an organised playground. (that was similar to "St. George without" where the council had redevelopment plans for their derelict church and neighbourhood. This series, however, had a sort of "Native American" name I tend to think and in fact the village was of that type with totem poles etc.
