I loved this programme, it was shown here on ABC. It's great the way the
presenters show concern for the animals but never interfere, regardless of
the dangers witnessed & the feelings they have for them.![]()
Catch it on the beeb!
Some great animal shots and you also get Kate Silverton looking scrumptous!![]()

TBW and I watch this together ... he loves it. For the young 'uns there is also Little Big Cat on CBeebies
But why do they adopt the Simon King habit of anthropomorphising every animal?
It's a problem I have with everything that Simon does. He's a great wildlife cameraman and naturalist, he learnt well from his father. But he doesn't just name every creature he films he always gives them human characteristics. That shouldn't be necessary and isn't helpful

I agree - it is quite bizarre when they do this.
Meerkat Manor is very odd for this. My little one turned round one day and said after we had been told something ridiculous like 'Andrew Meerkat is performing for the other Meerkats' - she said 'I'm sure he isn't you know..'
Maybe it's my influence - but I think it is Ok for them to be doing Meerkat stuff that may have no place in the human world - it's misleading.
