Shillingbury tales

[RAREFILMFINDER]

Just posted on a forum about pubs and mentioned we go to a pub in the village of ALDBURY next to TRING. The village was a location of a tv series about a brass band from memory.

I always thought it was "the shillingbury tales".

Any help would be grateful.

Looking up IMDb Shillingbury Blowers was filmed in Hertfordshire but IMDb is more precise for the location of 'Tales' and says Aldbury and Tring. According to Wki the pub was The Greyhound and Aldbury was also the location for a number of the Avenger episodes and the films 'The Dirty Dozen' and 'Bridget Jones Beyond Reason'

The food is quite expensive in The Greyhound, Aldbury, but it's a lovely village.

However they have allowed the pond to become overgrown with rushes etc, and it looks a mess compared to The Avengers, and Shillingbury days.
