i had the misfortune to endure an episode of billie piper in the " secret diary of a tart "or whatever its called the other day .i was in a works canteen and its what some easily pleased dirty old men wanted to see .its as erotic as one of those old sex comedies ,"confessions of a door to door cucumber salesman "or whatever .anyway its so obviously a body double used for anything remotely naughty when any bits and pieces are shown .it got me thinking what other actors or actresses have used body doubles over the years in whatever capacity ?

The opening of Pretty Woman used a Julie Roberts body double but I watched a film last week where it was clear John Wayne, an oil rigger, had a double during the fist fights. Felt rather cheated really, it wasn't even a good body double.

Linda Thorson had a double for her rough house scenes in the Avengers and used to complain that the double had a bigger bum than her!!

Life`s tough for these actresses!
I, in fact am a body double for Dawn French. Her only complaint is that her bum isn`t as big as mine either and she doesn`t want the general public to think it is!

Some are well served by their body doubles. Shirley Eaton was the "golden girl" in Goldfinger but in the opening credits this part was taken by the great glamour model, Vicky Kennedy, (AKA the minor actress, Margaret Nolan) whose..er...charms made Shirley Eaton look like a boy!!

Almost all actors and actresses have used a body double at some point. the general rule in a film is that if you can't see the performer's face then it probably isn't him/her.
And nowadays, with CGI, even if you can see their face it probably isn't their body.
Joanne Whalley didn't do the nude dance scene by the pool in 'Scandal' & 'Twice' got a body double for 'Atonement' I think!
.....and The King of Cool didn't do the bike jump in TGE, take a bow Bud Eakins!

The IMDb lists "Cindy Milo .... body double: Bridget Fonda" but there's no mention of who doubled for Joanne Whalley-Kilmer (as she was then)

an obvious and much taller body double was used in 'Frenzy' when Anna Massey's character gets out of Bed naked and enters the Bathroom, also former Singer Clodagh Rogers Son is Brad Pitt's stand in.........
I'm told that a BD was used for Susan George in Straw Dogs, for the scne where the builders see her at the window. I've just watched it again, and indeed it doesn't look like here.

Brian De Palma had a Penthouse Pet of the Year double for Angie Dickinson's shower scene in "Dressed to Kill." It becomes very obvious in a later scene where Ms. Dickinson gets out of bed and walks away from the camera. Reminded me of the children's book "The Saggy, Baggy Elephant."
Still, Ms. Dickinson was a real looker back in the day!
Watching "The Full Monty" reminds me of the fact that as well as not being able to weld , actress Jennifer Beals in "Flashdance" doesn't do much of her own dancing which is tricky in a film about a wannabe dancer! She is doubled by various dancers and in the audition scene where she really goes for it is even doubled by a man for the more athletic moves!
