Possibly the worst film ever made. Even the stars stopped trying to take it in any way seriously - just after the opening credits

All my Film Guides say the same I was more interested that we have 2 new channels showing Brit Movies I am sure we are going to get some decent films down the line.

I'm all for more channels showing British movies. But I'd rather have a channel that showed British movies that are worth watching

Most channels show the best films they've got the rights to as part of their "opening season". If these are the best they can get the rights to ...

Well we shouldn't knock any channel which might, now & then, offer up a gem or two. I'd far rather have this than the countless acres of dross currently pumped at the British viewer.

I agree the films are low quality but lets give them a chance eh?

X-factor, Strictly ballroom, I'm a celebrity......, Soaps, Makeover tv, DIY, Flog it cash in the attic, Fix up a dump and make a fortune.......Jeesus get a life

And how do I know so much about these progs and that they are being aired....well my good lady wife zombies out each night to cr@p like this. Strange cos she's an otherwise bright and articulate woman. Opium of the masses eh?

It usually takes any new channels a few months to sort out the deal with the cable companies before they get included. And then it depends on how the cable company packages them and if they bundle them in with other channels.

Call your cable company and ask if they plan to include them

There are some interesting rarities on the channel. I don't think I've seen The Baby and the Battleship since seeing it on first release (perhaps no bad thing!). Let's hope they get better prints though. Ships with Wings and Becky Sharp were painful to watch.

I don't think it's a question of better prints, as I understand it, Channels like 'G2 Family' use a smaller bandwidth or reduced pixcellation because it's cheaper to rent on the channel. If anyone on here knows the workings of such things perhaps they can post it here.

It must be due to the prints because they are full of scratches, tears, cuts, dirt etc, etc.

You don't know what pain is, I watched, on OHTV, Hollywood Breakfast last night, now thats pain. Saved only by two appearances of Spike Jones and his City Slickers, I have never seen them before but loved their humourous records as a boy.

I'm enjoying the rarities from the Columbia back catalogue on Simply Movies - A Dandy in Aspic was presented in a stunning letterbox print, and I've wanted to see that film for years, wheras Hammer's Curse of the Mummy was simply unwatchable.

Its sister channel G2 Family suffers from its programming bearing little relation to the Sky EPG, which seems to be the only source of information regarding what its going to show - unless anyone knows different.

Does this answer my question in another thread as to why there is a huge black border around the film/programme?
