Do any other members recall this light comedy series? (w) Irene Handl and Julia McKenzie, it was on around the same time as 'Mind Your Language' and 'In The Looking Glass', there is hardly any net info on these transmissions. I kind of liked it at the time. Wonder who the female vocalist who sang the closing/opening intro?

    Best.

    That was an LWT Production

Not sure about the vocalist but Laurie Holloway was in charge of the music

Presumeably it was Julia MacKenzie herself doing the singing, as she is an accomplished performer in musicals.

I do remember this, and one episode in particular with Gordon Kaye as a "batchelor" neighbour, who was looking after his mother. Rather poignant, but also spoiled by the hysterical over-the-top laughter by the studio audience, which always seemed to a feature of these LWT sitcoms.

"The Upchat Connection" was another one like this.

Yes, I remember this, I think it was repeated on Granada Plus a few years ago, I like anything with Irene Handl.

I agree with this; in the 'Mind Your Language' box-set excellent as it is, you can HEAR some of the studio audience conversation(s).
