I think I saw this only once on TV. It is set in

an English new town (I think), date around 1966/7.

A man is killing young women, he is a bus-conductor and selects his victims from among his passengers. He has a creepy habit of whistling a spooky tune. Any ideas?

I have a copy sourced from Japanese Cable TV. The film has never had a video release anywhere in the world AFAIK.

Thanks for that information. I can now easily see Simon Ward eyeing up his passengers.

Trying to recall a film from the 60s about a killer murdering schoolgirls. Am pretty sure it was in colour and it featured a Routemaster bus in one scene, probably schoolgirl getting off the bus etc. I was sure Hywell Bennett was in it and played the killer, he may even have played the bus conductor.

    Any ideas?

Possibly ASSAULT (1971). Lots of schoolgirl victims in that one if I remember right, including Lesley-Ann Down.

    Got to agree.

Can see Simon Ward being mistaken for Hywell Bennett - and he did play the bus conductor and killer.
