I saw this movie only one time and it was by far the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life. It was about this little old lady (I think her name was Ms Jones) who had a huge house, and a butler, and every year she always had this dinner party where she invited her friends. But she had out lived her husband and all her friends, but the buttler could not tell her. I think she couldnt' see or something but anyway. The buttler prepared the meal and served them and Ms. Jones was talking to them like they were there. The butler was serving them drinks and kept doing as he was asked by Ms. Jones but was sipping from the guests drinks and getting drunker by the moment. As he would make trips from the table to the where the food and drink was kept he kept tripping over this tiger fur and head in the floor. It was an very funny movie. I just can't remember the name of it.

if you can help me out that would be great.

I think this is Dinner for One, starring the late, great Freddie Frinton.

I agree Euryale. That certainly is the short film tlowery is after.

Also known under the title 'The 90th Birthday'.

This film became a classic in parts of Europe, especially in Germany where it is shown on television there on a regular basis.

I'd agree with Dinner for One as well. My German relatives are amazed that it isn't well known in Britain.

I do remember this being shown once or twice on British TV - the difference being that here, it didn't become an annual event.
