Another cameo in The Baron for our Fred, as one of Max Adrian's 'disciples' in The High Terrace (filmed September 1966):

Joined by Movie Dude's Blonde and some other woman. Uncle Max was (pretentiously!) referred to as 'The Chosen One':

I didn't make a note of the dialogue. He could be saying "Calm down, dear", "Modesty forbids ...", or even "Jazz hands!" to his followers.

Great list Scott , thanks Gerald any chance of more lists of our favourites.
Is 1955 The Scarlett Pimpernel, the John Horsley one, broadcast as part of the BBC series 'Sunday Night Theatre' ?
Fred is in 1956 - The Adventures of the Scarlett Pimpernel, first seen in the pre-credits sequence of the pilot episode "The Hostage"
i suspect this preceded every episode initially although some episodes on the DVD have a truncated version minus Fred and Jim Brady(both playing French army drummers), broadcast 24/02/56. Fred also appeared in the episode "St. Andrew's Fate" 27/04/56 again as a french soldier. I am glad that you have confirmed that it is Fred in "Gone to Seed" as this may be his only credited appearance as 'Toothy' in 5 of the 6 episodes. Credited as Fred Wood.

With regards to Gone to Seed, it's on Youtube (in an edited version) and Fred Wood can be seen in part 3, sitting at the bar and he has a line of dialogue, which it has to be said, is rather garbled on the delivery front.

Don Levy's Herostratus 1967 is the fifth release in BFI's Flipside strand, it laid on the shelf for three years (made in 1964) starring Michael Gothard about a man planning his suicide, i enjoyed it although it is quite heavy going. The narrative is constantly interrupted by archive footage, Hitler, Churchill, Attlee, Allan Ginsberg, Belson, Hiroshima etc, some of these drop-ins have been specially filmed in black and white to match the rest, one scene features a close up of a man's head lying on a bed, it is Fred Woods.

Just watched the 1974 Burton/Loren Brief Encounter. Fred flits by when they are having a meal in the train station restaurant. Also, in Quest for Love (1971) Fred can be seen in close up opening a door when Tom Bell is

searching the neighbourhood for Joan Collins.

I've been reminded that this image from Gandhi could be Fred. I know those lug 'ole's are very distinctive, but is it Fred? I can't decide.
