He's never in focus, but this is definitely Fred in the background as Ringo tries to eat a supposedly fresh sandwich in A Hard Day's Night. It's much more obviously Fred when you see the actual scene (the ears have it). I know this film has been mentioned in his filmography, but don't think anyone has spotted him in it yet. If they have, my apologies.

Excellent sighting Dave. Just had a look and it's certainly Fred. Then a moment later Jim Brady appears from the right hand side.

    Hi everyone,

I stumbled on this feed while doing some research on Fred Wood and was wondering if anyone here knows how I could contact him?

I want to interview him about his career in film/tv for the Spring 2015 issue of Little Shoppe of Horrors.

Any help is greatly appreciated! You can contact me at XX@YY.ZZ
    Cheers,

    Will

You will probably have been told by now that Fred Woods (born 1921) died in 2003. He told me that his first film was in 1939, but he couldn't remember its name. Nicknamed "The Face" by his colleagues, Fred kept working right up to the time of his death, and reckoned he worked on well over a thousand films.

Sorry for my late reply. I’m new to britmovie and didn’t get any notifications in my email of any responses, etc. But many thanks for your response. Yes, his son sent me a message informing me of his passing. I tried to reply, but I’m not sure if it went through.

I assumed he was still living because of Imdb, Wikipedia, and a few other sites I came across still list him as alive. But I'd still love to do a piece about him and any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Just spotted Fred slurping a pint and eyeing up the Go-Go dancer, in TV's The Special Branch episode Jailbait from 1973.
I've submitted this entry to Imdb.

    Thanks Tygon Man

Much appreciated his credits have gone up. I am still finding some films little known to me that he has popped up in
