    they used to be repeated on tv in the eighties during the early hours of the morning ,the one i remember concerned a woman who ran off with an italian or spanish waiter or had some affair going with him ,she had her hair like suzy kendals style in the latter part of up the junction and was likewise blonde ,and i think she drove a riley elf , if it was just a mini or austin 1100 or something it was definetly red



    there was a whole series of them all different stories with different actors ,ring any bells ?

    you might be right i think there was some crime aspect to them ,do they still exist are they available on dvd ?

    They all exist but like The Mysteries of Edgar Wallace and Scotland Yard they're owned by Canal Plus who are notoriously disinterested in releasing archive material.

    im fairly certain its that "payment in kind " the last episode . i seem to remember henry mcgee being in it and another website said that they got a repeat run in the 80s on channel 4.

    isnt there some enterprising soul who has them on dvd in the public domain so to speak ?

    it was them i got a dvdr of the series .seems my memory blurred two episodes into one though
