my mum is trying to remember the title of a horror film she watched years ago,all i have to go off is it's in B/W, probably 1950s and the only scene she remembers is a man at a desk being attacked by a doll with gnashing teeth! can anyone help?

i suggested 'dead of night' in case she's got confused with a mannakin, but no!

    Could it be Asylum?

    Asylum (1972/I)

    Rather a good cast list.

it's definitely not 'asylum' as this is in colour and if i remember correctly it has mini robots rather than a doll, but thanks for your reply!

my mum doesn't think it's 'devil doll' going by the plot synopsis as it involves puppets as opposed to dolls, but memory is a funny thing so i'll find a copy and try it on her-cheers!!

Could it be the Living Doll episode of the Twilight Zone? I remember that scaring the living daylights out of me the first time I saw it. The doll in that has got it in for a man - step dad of the doll owner I believe.

Not Attack of the Puppet People? (late 1950's US horror film)

Or - a long shot Dr Who and the Terror of the Autons which briefly features a really horrible-looking plastic doll that kills this guy (off-screen and not at a desk).
