Sounds like a Brit variation on SOUTHERN COMFORT, the early 80s Walter Hill movie.
I don't know it, but this is my kind of movie. Would love to know the title.

I watched it in the 90's with a friend. This is what I remeber it's a british film about a group of soldiers on an exercise that clash with another group in a local pub, from then on the crazed seargent, or sarge as they called him stalks and kills them and the final shoot out is on a farm house. It played on bravo a lot. Anyone Know? there is also a paint balling scene with live ammo

Callum,
The only thing I have come across is a BBC production from 1984-85 called The Exercise. This is a brief synopsis of its plot:
A routine escape and evasion exercise in the Welsh hills for four army cadets turns into something more sinister.
I can't find any more about it, but somebody may remember seeing it. It wasn't officially a Play for Today production, but is sometimes listed under that strand. Whether anything like that would get a showing on Bravo I don't know, and it probably wasn't what you had in mind, anyhow.
Here is the cast list:

I also seem to recall a BBC (I think) two part TV film or mini-series from the mid '90s, which I believe featured a soldier or ex-soldier who went on a killing spree. But I think the setting was partly or mostly urban. I think the lead was played by an Irish or British actor who had spent some time in the States but came back to do this show. I wish I could remember what that was called!

Hope you're still out there, Callum, because I think I've found it. The film is called Hard Edge and was directed by Caleb Lindsay around 1995-97.
There is a synopsis here:

I can tell you that it definitely has a paintball scene and did get shown on Bravo.
