Not to mention the dreadful bushfires that have occurred in Victoria and NSW.
In Victoria, so far, 35 people have lost their lives in the fires and hundreds of homes have been lost.
Police have confirmed that all the fires in question were started by unknown arsonists.
It's times like these that the calls for the death penalty to be brought back for offenders gains most support. Let's hope they all get caught. Evil ba**ards!

I just read this on the news and freaked out. OMG all those poor people. I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. I agree with you about the death penalty in this case. What a horrid, horrid nightmare for those who lost their homes and their lives.
It's a shocking situation here in Oz at the moment, some amazing stories of bravery and courage to be told. My praises to the young wife who "nagged" her husband to build a fireproof bunker, which saved the lives of themselves and their infant son.

Have some friends over there near Sydney and they sent me a pic which looked like the moon on a cloudy night, was taken during the last lot of fires, and it was noon.
Hope they get everything sorted out asap

We've had our share of fires here in the states, out west in CA and CO, but nothing ever to the scale Australia is going through right now. God, reading about people being burned alive in their homes, and cars...it renders me speechless. There aren't enough problems in the world. As for moral compass, Dandelion, apparently there are some who have no sense of right and wrong.
