    Hi all,

Im desperately trying to find an old tune from my youth. During the school summer holidays late 70s early 80s (I think) the kids programs would be on and in between there was like an interlude with a woman singing Life is a book, such a beautiful book. The film showed if I remember rightly a birds eye view of different scenes around the country-hills, over a village, power station cooling towers etc. I would love to hear/see this again and if anyone can help with this I would be forever grateful. Many thanks...

From your location I would hazard a guess that this is one of the old early morning start up films for ATV Midlands; from the days when TV wasn't a 24 hour experience...

    They can be found here:

    Hi Smudge,

Many thanks for your reply and advice. I tried the link but I think the website is still under construction so not entirely accessible yet. Have bookmarked the site and will keep looking in on progress. Hopefully I will find that old favourite very soon. Thankyou for your help,

    Regards Chris

    Hi Smudge,

After another try I got onto site and there before me was what I was looking for-must be popular with others too. Played it a few times and the memories raced back. Walking round with a grin like Bonnie Langford now. Again, thankyou so much. Chris

I thought this was going to be a philosophical proposition. If it were, mine's overdue.

I had a peek too because I am a nosy git and it was nice

And on a philosophical note ---

"Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes".

I say - You can call him a plonker 'cause he is a mile away and you have got his shoes.

    I thang you.
