Wasn't it 1969?
I am sure that many forum members will remember the 1968 Royal Family documentary.
Even though I was eight at the time that it was aired I found the documentary fascinating. BBC and Itv both had the rights to show this documentary.
I love the scene where The Queen takes the two younger children into a shop to buy sweets. There is another scene where the Queen and Prince Phillip are watching an American sitcom, which I think might have been "The Lucy Show."
The film was shown many times on royal ocasions such as weddings and the Jubilee in 1977.
Wasn't it 1969?
It may have been made in 1968 (as there is a Christmas scene at Sandringham) but it was first transmitted in the Summer of 1969, Judy Garland was watching it at her London Mew's home, had a row with her Husband, paced up and down the Mews for a while to calm down, then died during the night
I have read that, unfortunately, this interesting programme will never be broadcast again, which is a pity for the few of us left that still have some respect for Her Majesty.......

I googled the documentary one site said it was 69, but an piece I saw on the BBC website said it was 1968, I thought it was shown in late 68.
The BFI say it was 21 June 1969 on the BBC, interestingly they say it was shown on ITV as recently as 1993 ....thats like last week in my world.
