Hi, I don't know the answer, but this site may help you Browse TV Shows
I mentioned this a year or so ago, but will try again. Was likely an episode of a series similiar to Tales of the Unexpected. At a guess would have been around 1978-80.
Plot involves man who dies, goes to hell which is like a motel. Once installed in his room music begins to play Tulips From Amsterdam again and again through loud-speakers. I at first thought Denholm Eliott, but was someone similiar to him, anyone remember this, I think may have been ITV on a Saturday evening.

Thanks FF1, will look. Are a few things I remember around 20-30 years ago, no idea of titles
There is an episode of Rod Serling's Night Gallery called Hell's Bells which sounds vaguely like some of what you describe. It was made in 1971 and starred John Astin as a hippie(!) who gets killed. He is sent to Hell but it isn't quite what he expects, you know, fire and brimstone. Instead, he has to face an eternity of boredom filled with all the things he hated in his earthly life - boring music, boring people, boring surroundings and so on.
More here - one of the reviewers gives a good synopsis:
"Night Gallery" Hell's Bells (1971)
John as the hippie.
I'm not sure when or if this was broadcast in the U.K. or if it ever got remade.
E.
Thanks Euryale, am guessing is in later series of Night Gallery as don't have this one, and haven't seen most of them since the 70's in my early teens. The story I refer to is definately UK made, the actor in question resembles Denholm Eliot. I did think may be Tales of the Unexpected, but I checked episode guide and wasn't anything familiar. This could actually be another similiar film I remember shown in the late seventies, that had lots of psychedelic dream type sequences.
Elliot was in an episode of Brian Clemens ATV 'Thriller' series which was a lot like 'Tales of the Unexpected' but without the intro.
Based on a short story by Harry E Turner from the 11th Pan Book Of Horror Stories, I believe.
