REVENGE is nasty because it appeals to all our base urges, that primitive bloodlust to avenge when wronged - VERY primeval.

It's so nasty that it actually makes me quite nostalgic for that early seventies era when otherwise respectable filmmakers would make any old 'adult-themed' rubbish to keep the ball rolling while the British film industry collapsed around their ears.

Yes, and would you believe it was filmed in my old local in Micklefield, High Wycombe? Well, calling it a local is stretching it somewhat- it had closed down by the time I moved there, but was definitely the right pub. INN OF THE DAMNED, by the way, is an Australian horror western about an elderly people who trap people and kill them in a similar way- but for the most stupid reason ever imaginable!! I'm sayin' no more, in case any of you chaps and chappesses out there ever see it..
Do any members remember 'Revenge!' with Joan Collins? It wasn't bad at all for it's time-similar to 'Assault' released around the same time.

It's an interesting subject, it opens on quite a credible premise but towards the end veers into a cliched 70s thriller.
