Thank you Batman and Nick! I like how she plays the nemesis to Barbara Eden in this movie I'm watching.

This is from the episode Sweet Sue, where Judy played George A. Cooper's daughter, up to no good with Britmovie favourite Peter Blythe and the mysterious David Cole. Broadcast 8th November 1967, when The Foundations' Baby Now That I've Found You was No.1 in the charts, while in America Lulu was at the top of the 'Hit Parade' with To Sir With Love.

Some Like It Hot fans will know there was a character in the film called 'Sweet Sue', played by Joan Shawlee. As I mentioned at George's thread, there was a moment here when he accidentally hit Judy on the nose with his arm as he was about to drink from a glass. I've captured the sequence and will be glad to post it here.

Payback for Carry On England! Now, if old George could just deck out Patrick Mower for us, then I'd be really happy!

Yep that's her. She seems very talented in playing that type of role. I'll definitely have to see more of her films - I'll probably rent them. Thanks again! :)

Well that was a short-lived Friendship! How can I respect someone who doesn't respect Patrick?! Naughty Graeme! I hope it's just that film you didn't like them in - not their Finest Hour (and a half), I admit. You liked him in Callan, didn't you? A good foil for Edward Woodward.

Totally agree with you, Sgt., the other Friend I've made this week. What a coincidence.

Judy had the makings of a great career in British films and TV series but, as Graeme indicated, Carry On England was very much a retrograde step after impressing (me anyway) in 10 Rillington Place and especially Three Into Two Won't Go. She arguably stole the latter film from real-life couple Rod Steiger and Claire Bloom who were both brilliant themselves. Quite an achievement. I don't think I've seen much of her work after that but may have something to say in a future post. One of Judy's early roles was in that gay interracial film Two Gentlemen Sharing you know. It might be interesting to see why they didn't fancy her!

Here is a link to some posters and stills: http://moviegoods.com/movie_poster/three_into_two_won't_go_1969.htm

One of the supporting actors, Paul Rogers, turned up a few days ago in an episode of Public Eye, The Man Who Said Sorry. I don't think I'd seen him since Judy's film was shown in 1986! And he was great too.

*That link 'won't go' at the moment either. If you go to moviegoods you'll see plenty from her films

Torinfan, have you seen Brannigan (1975)?

John Wayne comes to London and Judy is tasked with keeping him in check

It's just Carry On England (and perhaps Target but the memory is dim...). Of course, he was great in Callan - and I love him in Special Branch! He is an interesting mixture of buddy and irritant for the great George Sewell as well.

To be honest, nobody comes out of COE with much honour. I just deplored the casting of randy, new actors from TV to "spice up" the series - but I guess that isn't Judy and Patrick's fault (although they could have had the good taste and common decency to turn the parts down! ).

I watched Inseminoid the other day and Judy was in that (was very naked in it too but shhhhhhh don't say nothing okay )

They had an Interview with her on the DVD and she stated that she did not film ANY nudity for the film and yet it was her naked and not a body double was used, very cheesey Alien rip off film though.

I loved her in Danger UXB! She was gorgeous in those 1940s clothes and that magnificent swept-up hairstyle suited her so very well. Can't find a photo...

I loved Anthony Andrews in that, too. It was the first time I saw him and he was so appealing.

Susan Mount and Brian Ash. Lovely couple!

Would really like to see this repeated on TV.

Admits: I'm kind of fond of that one...

The novelisation by Make-up folk, Nick and Gloria Maley is quite fun too.

I noticed there wasn't a thread dedicated to the lovely Judy Geeson, so I thought I'd start one up. I had such a crush on her when I saw To Sir with Love back in '67, even though I was an innocent child at the time. I recently saw the unedited cut of Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, and all I can say is...Wow!

Barry Evans's character was such a twit in that film...
