name='scenesixty']Wouldn't the BFI have a decent 35mm print of this scarcity??

Not according to their printed catalogue, alas.

It seems to have been last shown in 1972

    Hello All,
I see that someone listed this film in their top ten favourites which means he must have seen it. Is this film available? If so I would love a copy. Loads to swap or happy to pay.

It was shown at the NFT a few months ago which I think was its first airing for 40 years. Maybe they'll show it again (it was sold out). It's interesting but very studio bound and not as good as some of Hartnell's other films of the period. BTW, top tip for anyone wanting to commint a murder - do it in front of a bunch of lawyers and they'll all stand around discussing R v Cummerbund while your victim bleeds to death on the carpet and you make a quick getaway

Tom Masterick, a dock worker, is wrongfully convicted of a murder charge. His death sentence is commuted to a long prison term. When released as an old man, he vows to find the real killer.
Have been after this for years. Has it ever been commercially
    released?

I saw it at the NFT last year but I'm fairly sure it hadn't been shown anywhere for at least 40 years before that. Certainly the first IMDB reviewer hadn't seen it as his review bears little similiarity to the actual plot of the film (which is fairly studio-bound and a bit bonkers but nevertheless fun). Hopefully the BFI will at least show it again even if they haven't got the rights to release it (it was sold out)

Just to see if any members had any update on Murder In Reverse-now that Hartnell's other film has been released?

In the many years I have been following this site "Murder In Reverse" and "Melody" (or S.W.A.L.K) must be two of the most asked for films. I'm sure there are many others but those two always come round again and again.

If only the distributors would pay attention to what's most often asked for here

Looks kosher, maybe they are finely taking notice of what's said on this site?
