Correct once again, vincenzo, a totally mesmerising one to one performance by Maxine Audley and Carl Boehm.

Fully agree. Brilliant film that never dates.

A Brit film from 1958. The girl who says the line dies shortly afterwards for the second time.

It certainly is the original fang-tastic Hammer classic. Carol Marsh being the young (if slightly undead) lady in question.

I must be going, I can't stand here gossiping all day like some people, chatter chatter chatter all day long, give them a chance to talk about other peoples business and they take it

You got it Vince, i love the 'knife' scene in that film, spoken by Phyllis Monkman, quite a big star in the 1920's apparently.........

I'm intrigued by this line as not too familiar with film, who was the 'she' and the 'him' John was referring to?

A backstage encounter with Anna Quayle (as a showgirl):

Millie: Oh, wait a minute, don't tell me who you are.

    John: No, I'm not.

    Millie: Oh, you are.

    John: I'm not.

Millie: Oh, you are, I know you are.

    John: I'm not, no.

Millie: You look just like him.

John: Do I? You're the first one that's said that ever.

Millie: [motions to the mirror] Yes, you do. Look.

John: No, my eyes are lighter. The nose.

Millie: Oh, your nose is very.

    John: Is it?

Millie: I would have said so.

John: Oh, you know him better, though.

Millie: I do not! He's only a casual acquaintance.

    John: That's what you say.

    Millie: What have you heard?

John: [leans in, lowers his voice] It's all over the place.

Millie: Is it? Is it really?

John: Mmm, but I wouldn't have it. I stuck up for you.

Millie: I knew I could rely on you.

    John: Thanks.

Millie: [puts on her glasses] You don't look like him at all.

    [John walks away, pouting]

John: [to himself] She looks more like him than I do.

No, not Peter, i'll give the answer or it'll be here forever, it was new canteen girl Bridget's reply to lechorous Stan Butler in the first and best 'On the Buses film'...........guess this sort of humour only applies to a tiny handful of us, but OTB was the highest attended british film of it's year!

    Carry on anyone........
