Hi all, love the site! Anyway, here's one that's been driving me crazy for years. It's an old film, I guess 60's, I believe in B&W ( although it may have been that I saw it on our old B&W set..we're talking a long time ago..) anyway, it's about a young boy/teenager in London ( I think)..what I most remember are some scenes, such as doing art homework copying from a porno mag, much to his mother's consternation and playing truant with a girlfriend and catching a train to the seaside, and generally getting up to all sorts of things. From what I remember, the plot wasn't exactly fantastic, but the film did manage to capture that youthful feeling of rebelliousness/freedom, etc, so if anyone could help me. I'd be most grateful!

    Many thanks in advance

    Frank

Yes, indeed, that's the one! At first the 'Melody' title had me fooled, but when I saw that it was also known as S.W.A.L.K. the memories all came flooding back!

    Thanks very much!

It's still probably the film that we get most queries about. Everyone who saw it seems to remember it and it wasn't available commercially for a long time except for an expensive Japanese version (English soundtrack with optional Japanese subtitles).

It has since been made commercially available in the UK and elsewhere but usually only in short print runs. But there are quite a few second hand copies available if you hunt around a bit

The whole film is on YouTube, with re-edited soundtrack though. It may suffice for the time being.

Is the whole thing available there? It's been put on YouTube and similar places a few times - but then is usually taken down due to copyright violations

I watched the whole thing during last week. The Bee Gees soundtrack has been removed and replaced with music from elsewhere in the film, other than that Steve, it's all there, in 11 parts.
