TV play 1980s: middle-aged man (working for social security ?) lives alone in flat.

Young man visits him and, after conversation, ends up dead on (kitchen ?) floor, possibly after accident.

Older man wonders what to do next.

Wondered if this could be Killing Time from 1990, and which was a BBC Play on One. It starred Pip Donaghy and Aidan Gillen. This is the synopsis from the BFI:

I believe it was based on the true story of the murderer Dennis Nilsen.

I remember another BBC play from the '80s whiich featured a social worker, played by Griff Rhys Jones. He was beaten up by a couple of teenagers and I have a feeling that was in the kitchen too. The title was A View of Harry Clark.

I suppose Euryale's right, though (as always ).

No I'm not, Corny, and anyway I dare say that Maurice will tell us when he next looks in. It may be neither of them.

Here's some more on A View of Harry Clark:

    Thanks, Euryale.......amazing!

I would like to see this play again - and also the interesting one mentioned by Cornershop, A VIEW OF HARRY CLARK (BBC, 21/03/89).

Does anyone have a copy ?
