Many thanks Cornershop for the photograph.. It is one of my favorites of the good lady herself. There's quite a few from the same photo shoot that I've also seen, she looked amazing. Wishing you a Happy New Year Cornershop, and all the members of the Britmovie forum.

Today, the 4th of May marks the 30th anniversary of Diana's passing. It's a testament to the lady herself that as the years pass by her fan base continues to grow, with a new generation discovering her and her legacy.
Stunningly attractive, and a very sexy woman. She was also very intelligent and a brilliant and convincing actress, a genuine movie star. I was thinking as I read through some of this thread and looked at the photo's (which are excellent, thank you for posting them everyone) that if they made a TV bio of her, Amanda Redman would be perfect for playing her in her later years.
A TV Biog of Diana .... yes lets do it ........ I d give the lead to Denise Van Outen...
Did anyone ever find the Diana Dors missing millions from the vigenere cypher she left behind? I know there was a programme about it, but has anything happened since?
Other than what was featured in the documentary, sadly they were unable to piece the last part of the puzzle. I think Letitia Dean would make a great DD, I have an idea for a bio-pic, and think she could smash it with a great performance of DD.
It is part of the Diana Collection boxed set, and well worth watching. Amanda is stunning, and has every Dors gesture and even her walk, it is really uncanny.
Hello seanflynn76. Going back all those years ago when I was about 20, I was working on a fruit stall in Earls Court and Diana and Dennis Hamilton lived in Earls Court Gardens, use to see them about quite a lot, a few years later when I was a cab driver I picked up Diana from the Theatre in Sloan's Square and I had to drive her to the BBC in Langham Place where she was going to do a radio interview, then I was standing in for Nicky Henson on "There's A Girl in my Soup" and Diana had a part on that, all I can say is that she was a really nice lady and the only time we had a chat was in the cab.
There was an obsession with breasts in the 50s and early 60s... Marilyn exploited that desire as did Diana
in her movies.
But I dont think of Marilyn as Dianas American equivalent...
Americas answer to Diana Dors was of course......... Jayne Mansfield
They both had Hollywood film careers
Both film careers went south..
They both started doing an act on the nightclub circuit
They both flagrantly courted publicity
Both dyed their hair blonde
so many parallels.........
Both very extrovert
I think they even met once and think there is a photo of the two of them together...
they must have had a lot to talk about !
Read Dianas book goldenmeadow.
Some great stuff in there, especially Bruce Forsyth and the female impersonator, and the young(ish) actor and the pig!
Yes indeed there is a photo of Diana and Jayne Mansfield together (Leeds 1967)
